Sat in a bar in Cancun, I was surrounded by "Whooooooo! YEEEEAH! GO USA!!!" types. No matter what the sport being shown. I've worked in a couple pubs here, and as rare as Americans are (compared to Aussies and South Africans), I've only come across those who're absolutely full of cockeyness; it's even detectable on football forums!
It makes Britain's odious Burberry-clad brigade seem tolerable! |

Ok, so i originally voted for the World Cup over the TdF.
Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
After that England display i never ever want to watch them again. EVER!
Fly home now and save us the embarrassment.
Yours, with head hung in shame.

ironically, this poll topic may be a none issue for most of us, since England will probably be out of the competiton before TdF starts...... _________________ Cheers

Slight alteration to the poll (though I suspect I already know what the answer will be.... )
Sunday's game clashes with the National RR Champs in Lancashire which is being broadcast on Eurosport. A double shame as it means fewer viewers both live and on TV -- not to mention a complete waste of fully closed roads!
Anyone watching it?

No chance - V+ for me and watch it later (after Mexico v Argentina).
BBQ already planned for England game - not sure the National RR champs hold quite the same allure for those attending (there's only so many times my non-cycling mates want to hear me say "I've raced against him you know") |

World Cup with the fellow smellies at Glastonbury for us. Watching it with 80,000 baying mentalists amongst the dust and poo should be fun!
I'd choose the WC over Nats anyday (though if at home would have a laptop on my knee for finale). _________________ Oh well. |
