Trails’n’Ales: Vol.3
May 30 @ 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
£20.00
Vol. 3 of our charity gravel ride returns this May, and it promises to be the most gravelly and gnarliest one yet. The money raised by the ride will be supporting our charity partners; the Full Cycle Community Bike Project and Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance. We’ll taking on over 100km of Surrey’s finest trails before finishing back at The Park Brewery for a taproom party and pizza from the Dough Shack.
Gravel Ride
The meeting point is Alpkit Kingston for roll out between 7-8am. We’ll have a bag drop at the start and transfer bags to The Park Brewery for the finish. The route will be heading along the tow path out to the North Downs and looping back on some classic Surrey trails. We recommend a suitable bike with gravel tyres that can handle a bit of mud. It’s a self-supported ride, so make sure you are equipped with tools, spare tubes and a bit of cash in case you need to bail out. We will send out the GPX the week before the ride to everyone who has signed up.
Taproom Party
We’ll be kicking off the party from 1pm at The Park Brewery taproom. There will be food available and of course plenty of beers to sample from The Park Brewery’s excellent line-up. Even if you’re not riding you can still come on down and to enjoy a beer and watch the penultimate stage of the Giro in the taproom. You can park your bike at the brewery, but we recommend bringing a cafe lock.
Full Cycle Community Bike Project
Full Cycle is an important community-run project with a mission to give people from all backgrounds access to affordable cycling by giving old bikes new life. Gary and the team will be along on the day to offer bike maintenance and chat about the project and how you can get involved. All profits will go towards the on-going running of this great project, which relies on volunteers to keep it going.
KSS Air Ambulance
The charity air ambulance serving Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Over the past 35 years they have attended over 46,000 incidents, saving lives and improving patient outcomes. KSS helped one of our members who needed urgent treatment on a gravel ride last year, so we’ve experienced the vital work they do first hand, and continue to support this amazing charity.
