Peaslake Memorial Football Match

The club run has often passed through the village of Peaslake in the North Downs and in recent years we’ve taken part in their annual Remembrance Sunday events. The village has been in touch because they’re organising a football match to recreate the “day the guns fell silent” when opposing troops apparently played a game in between the trenches. For this they need volunteers and wonder if anyone from the club or elsewhere might be able to help. It’s not a competitive match, more about recreating a moment from history. All proceeds go to the Poppy Appeal.
If you can help, see the flyer and form, contact club President Derek Griffiths or “Contact Kingston Wheelers CC”
